November 2009

Ummm....let’s see. M had a band concert and participated with the youth in putting on a 24 hour Road Show (that is, a Road Show written, practiced, and performed in just 24 hours). B has outgrown her toddler bed (she was excited for a new bed, but very very sad to see her old bed put away), so we passed down bedroom sets - S’s to B and M’s to S. M got a new bedroom set and perhaps we will have some time after the new year to get her room all put together and decorated. M and I went to a fireside with Larry Gelwix (the inspiration for Forever Strong). He was a fun speaker. His sister is in our ward. S’s orthodontic treatment is coming along pretty well. She finally got her bite stoppers taken off after nearly 3 months and her underbite has been corrected.

We went to the circus right before Thanksgiving (Ringling Brother’s Zing Zang Zoom) and had K’s firm’s skybox all to ourselves. It was nice and the kids actually enjoyed the circus this year (I think the magic tricks helped). We had a great Thanksgiving in Virginia visiting my brothers and their families. The kids had so much fun playing together and it was great hanging out with family. Most of us loved the babies and I hope we didn’t spoil them too much with all the holding. (B is afraid of babies and wouldn’t touch either of them, although by the end of the weekend at least she wasn’t running away from them anymore.) S is afraid of dogs and by the end of the week could actually pet Hershey (when he was laying peacefully).
