March 2008 News

We hosted a ward activity dinner early in the month (the ward is split up into different homes). We had 6 couples (12 adults) at our house. It was a tight squeeze in our dining room (we had to put our kitchen table up next to the dining room table). It was pretty fun, except that I had a really bad cold.

I went to Parent Teacher Conferences. Girl 1 is doing really well—she’s a great student and a great leader. Girl 2 is really good a reading, writing, and cursive, but she has a hard time completing tasks on time and coming up with ideas.

Girl 1 turned 11 in March. She is now 4 feet 10 inches tall and 100 pounds (which surprisingly is only the 75th percentile). She spent 2 days with her school class at Outdoor Ed. They traveled to a facility about an hour and a half away, stayed overnight in cabins, and learned about the outdoors. She really had a good time. The day after she got back her class participated in Jump Rope for Heart to benefit the American Heart Association. She had a fun time with her group - the Random Ropers.

For Spring Break we went to Utah. It has been almost 2 years since we have visited. The girls had a great time playing at Grandpa & Grandma’s house and on all our adventures.
